54. Idea of Goal Setting
If you have to go to Delhi from Mumbai, you reach ticket counter at Mumbai airport and ask for a ticket –what would you say.. I want to go to somewhere please give me a ticket. Do you think she would be able to give you ticket? No she won’t. You have to specify her where you want to go and only then you can be given tickets to go there. You have to tell her that. Think of her as God, God here is someone who fulfills your wish. Now if you reach god and tell them you need a lot of money. What do you think God will send you. Nothing. He don’t know what your definition of lot of money is. He needs to know a number. Tell him you need 5000 rupees and now it will be easier for him to send you that money. So the most important thing about Goal setting is that it has to specific. You need to know where you are going before you start walking.
