44. Billions Season 2 Episdoe 1 - A tutorial on becoming Rich and developing your mind

Image
This is the most underrated series of all time. It stars Paul Giamatti (playing Charles Rhoades) and Damien Lewis (playing Bobby Axelrod) who performs perfectly as two people on opposite side of poles, but with equal strengths. There is no hero or villain here but who will survive and who will fall. The one who will survive will be hailed as right and and the one who will fall will be called wrong. It is a lion chasing lion battle and it is difficult to figure out who will win the battle. I have seen season one and I was eagerly waiting for the season 2 and it has finally arrived. The character played by Damien Lewis is so good yet i hated it at the beginning. I was an avid fan of Sherlock when season 1 came and i thought that the Damien as an actor does not have what it takes to be a forceful character who would fight to win all odds. He ha this voice which feels like someone is dragging something in the corridor of the building but trying to keep quite at the same time. Giamatt

43.Why exactly i made this page ??

I accidentally opened my older email id where i went to the sent sections. One nugget of advice : never go to old sent section of your email ids, you don't know what you are going to find. I saw some mails and it made me nostalgic. It made me remind my perfect life back in college. No it wasn't perfect actually, this life is much worse so I am remembering that life as a good life. The only thing worth remembering of that time is Shambhavi Mishra. But i have vague memories of her. Recently she is back on Facebook and i pacify my heart looking at her photos. There is nothing much i can do right now. I don't have money and i don't have a house. I am turning 31 this year and my life has nothing in front of me. All my friends are settled and i am still struggling to make my ends meet. Somewhere i am still dependent on my parents for money. I don't ask them for money but it is like, they are my back up. If i lose in this life, at least i have them. I don't know

42. Day 1 of Rejections and pretending to be a courier man to enter celebrities house.

Image
Note : My apologies in advance as i forgot to click pictures and make videos of my rejections. I will make them from now on and post them here. I have been stalling going out of the house for three days and finally i went out an finished most of my work. I felt the urge to write this blog today because today i have the content. My day started as usual as me getting up pretty late like 10 A.M. The thing about me getting up in the morning is that i don't get up at one go, I get up several times. I have to fill the water, then there are several people who knock at my door and i don't respond. I have going through this for many days and now i have decided to adjust my life around my sleeping pattern instead of trying really hard to change it. Today i am very tired and i felt really sleepy before i again lost my sleep and i am awake at his mid night writing this blog about my first day of rejections. If you have been reading my blogs ( I know you are not, I check stats everyda

41. Book review - Khullam Khulla - Rishi Kapoor's biography

Image
I downloaded the  book after watching Kapil Sharma show. Frankly i feel that i cannot judge the book whether it is good or bad. The reason being I have lived my life with films so much so that the the names of Indian Film people have become part of my DNA. It feels to me like i know them. I am not a crazy fanatic fan but i am a very well read guy who has seen thousands of movies. It didn't took me long to finish this book. The book is just a diary of Rishi Kapoor where he tells you everything about himself and you also get to know that Rishi Kapoor has an opinion about each and everything and before this, we just didn't know about it.  He is brash and wants things in his way and I have met people like him in my real life and hated them. I don't think I will meet Rishi Kapoor in real life and will like him. But one thing stands out in this book and it is the honesty with which it was written. Rishi Kapoor Doesn't spare himself and when he is wrong like to call it

40. Movie Review : Narsimha Naidu - A Balakrishna Blockbuster

Image
I accept and i don't mind accepting it. I am a big fan of Balakrishna  and I am big big big big crazy fan of Simran. I love her like anything and if there is one woman i would like to time travel and marry, ti would be Simran. She is so womanly and so strong. I love her mole above her lips, which is also her beauty spot and i love that she rarely ( i have never seen) wears Nail polish. I hate nail polish and Lipstick, unless they are very neatly done which is another fetish of mine which we will discuss some other time. I don't remember which film of Balakrishna i had first, or do i ?? Yes, now that i think of it, i do remember which film of his i saw first. I am also a crazy fan of Nayanathara and I find her very beautiful and you can measure my craziness for her from the fact that i have seen all her interviews on youtube, also downloaded them, without having an iota of knowledge what she is speaking. She speaks Tamil and Malayalam primarily, because she is a Malyali w

39. Movie Review : Kaththi - A South Indian Blockbuster starring Joseph Vijay

Image
I watched Kaththi because it intrigued me. Why was the movie such a blockbuster. I was a big fan of Vijay during my college days and I had watched all his films that i could ind on youtube and torrents with subtitles. Subtitles was/are a big limitation for me while watching regional films. I loved his Pokkiri like anything and i watched it way back than Salman's Wanted ever came and became a blockbuster and trend of copying South Indian films started Hindi film industry like virus. Kaththi is full of flaws and when you will watch the film you will know it. But the beauty of South Indian films is that they are bigger than life full on entertainment that you are ready to forgive them for anything. It is, like any other South Indian film, a hero's film and heroine has nothing to do here. Even Villain appears weak though out the film but you want to see your favorite hero win every time, don't you. The her always has a plan and he executes it with zero faults. There is

38. A review of a book : Shoe Dog by Phil Knight - The man who created a brand called 'NIKE'

Image
Do you know Adidas and Puma are owned by brothers who turned rivals in one part of their life and one of the brothers decided to quit and open his own company. The elder brother owns Adidas, and the younger brother owns Puma. It is a wonder that they started two companies separately and son both company turned to be one of the best brands of the world. Well, I started with the Tivia to build your interest into the article. I read this book few days back and i immediately wanted to write the review of this book but then procrastination took over and i didn't write any blog for few days. It was the the first thing that i wanted to put on my blog because i know many of you people don't even know about it. The journey of Phil Knight and is nothing less than amazing. Frankly, I used to think that NIKE was a very old brand and it's owner might have died till now leaving his abundance of wealth to his grand kids. I never tried to know about it but it came on a suggesti

37. Amitabh Bachchan teaches that greatness is neither talent nor fluke... it's core hard work !!

I love Amitabh Bachchan. Everyone loves Amitabh Bachchan. I know he is a hard working guy. I meet many people everyday who tell me inside stories of film industry, most repeated and asked being, how does actors behave on sets. One of my friends, Raashul Tandon, who worked in Pink with Amitabh Bachchan, he was one of the four boys who play culprit, told me that no one one set was as had working as Amitabh Bachchan. Even during lunch he would go back to his vanity rehearse lines. Piyush Mishra, another co-star of his in the film never worked hard because he had already decided for himself that he is a great actor and would fumble a lot during scenes, but Bachchan would always give one take OK shot. Amitabh Bachchan is very time punctual and I have witnessed that in my real life. He is hard working and you would be surprised to know that he has no PR team to look after his facebook , blog and Twitter accounts, he does that all to himself. He told that himself to My friend Raashul when he

36. Talent is like Magic it doesn't exist !!

There are times when i feel weak but i have to get up. There are times when i feel i am a failure, but then that is a new start. The truth is that every fucking day is a new start. You dream everyday and you move little by little towards what you want to achieve and one day you do it but you have to do it everyday. Talent does not work. Talent does not exist. Talent is a magic word. People use that term to hide their hard work and pretend like they are lucky and appear as enigma. No one knew how many hours Steve Jobs worked before giving his presentation. His speeches were never magical and he never had any talents of speaking. He worked really hard on it by making cards and pointers to his speech. He would rehearse again and again till he would memorize every section of that speech. Talent is also a word created by those who want to justify other's hard work because they don't want to see it. Nothing has ever been achieved without hard work and persistence and discipline. D

35. Phew... Things to do

Getting up early morning i have realized that my efforts to enter into ad film world are being restricted by my mediocre work profile and i have to shoot a short film first that will blow everyone's mind. It has to be high on content and it has to be high on video camera. There has to be great editing and great sound work. I will collect that much amount of money from somewhere and I know the money will come eventually. I would need help from some of my friends and some film fanatics because the film i am making is going to be so great and that it is going to bow everyone's mind. Also while getting up i read about this young guy whose name I forgot who has become a self made millionaire by the age of 23 and he is a hacker. He failed in class eighth and decided to leave schooling to pursue his hobby of knowing computer languages. That is one gutsy boy. Lots of things are happening in my life, like i have decided not to worry about money because i know that it will come someho

34.How I am planning to enter into Ad film world

It is not easy. First and foremost. Contact people as much as you can and meet them. Nothing will seem to happen at first but you will find your way. I have never directed an ad film but i have been on ad film sets as assistant art director and i know how to shoot ad films. So i was trying giving my resumes to ad film production houses and meeting advertising house, i also showed them my showreels but it produced no result. The problem with many production houses is that they produce in house ad films which is bad for independent film makers like me. During my course of meeting these film people, I met Parikshit Vaidya ( on whom I am going to dedicate an entire blog post soon). He was one of the most sorted man i have ever seen in my life. We became friends because he is an avid animal lover and you can talk to him at lengths about animals and loving them. He loves stray dogs and cats and he will leave no stone unturned to help them and i have witnessed one incidence myself. He gave

31. Delivering happiness - Zappos Story - A must read book.

Image
The best thing I liked about this biography which tells you about the birth of a Company i it's humorous writing. It is a very interesting read. It is more of a biography of Tony Hsieh and his life and unlike the last book that i read about Jia Jang, he doesn't mention his personal life too much. He only reveals as much personal life as is necessary, only those parts that are connected somewhere with the story and birth of Zappos.  Tony Hsieh started his humble journey, which is not so humble because he was a topper throughout and a Harvard graduate which means he already had his mind int he right place. The good thing about him was that he was ready to take risks, he would read a lot of books, he had a great set of people around and he was thoroughly a great optimistic person. He was charged for success. He writes this book like good things happen to hum and he wasn't expecting them. It was his positive nature.  Tony Hsieh didn't actually create Zappos, he was

30. The seminar in which i slept.

I won't name the person but i am just back from a seminar and the seminar was on power of thinking, subconscious mind but during the lectures both my conscious and subconscious mind slept heavy sleep because the man who was giving seminar was giving it like he was teaching kids at fourth class. As per his story, he was an IITan who left his lucrative job, to do these seminars because he wants to change people's life. He was telling the same things that i have been reading for last three years, so one of the reasons why i was sleeping was because I knew what he was telling. However, I have listened to the same things again and again and I never get bored. Like there is a speaker called Les Brown and he is so energetic and enthusiastic that you feel excited as he you listen to him. Same goes with Tony Robbins who puts all his energy into his seminars. This man in his seminars was actually making everyone sleep. I looked around once to find out and realized that everyone was int

29. The Ted talk about rejection that will change your life.

Image
It was a random day for me. I got up at normal time and then i messaged an ad film director whom i have send my showreel that how he felt about it. I met this ad film director two days ago and he gave me some very valuable advises. His name is Suresh Triveni and he has directed hundreds of ads including that Famous Mauka Mauka Ad during world cup. He is also making a film with Vidya Balan so he has left Ad film world for a while. He asked me to send him my showreel and i was really happy to send it to him. He saw it after i messaged him and he asked me to send him my showreel which i did but i guess he didn't like it and messaged back that it wasn't advertising material. For some unknown reasons i wasn't demotivated reading about his rejection to my showreel instead i took it as a challenge to prove to him that before he will finish his film, i will be directing ad films for all brands and i will be touted as the busiest ad film director in the Mumbai. I will out of my

28. Met an old producer of my last film and it was terrible

Today i met the producer of Lasafot. His name is Deepak and he has the same name as my father. I ate him like anything. He was bad when we were together but he is worse now. Talking to him makes me hate myself and wonder why do i go to him. Meeting him is a terrible experience for me personally. For once he will talk about past like he was saint and blame me and others for everything but then moment pretend that he was a victim. He came back after three years and is asking me to complete the film. The film that he snatched away from me and now again wants me to work free for him. I am not going to work for free for him. I don't even want to work for him. I thought earlier that i had become indifferent towards him but it turns out that i hate him still. I don't think that is ever going to go. I can see him moving towards destruction again and i tried to explain to him like older times not to do it but this time the scenario was different. This time he already thinks that he k
