37. Amitabh Bachchan teaches that greatness is neither talent nor fluke... it's core hard work !!

I love Amitabh Bachchan. Everyone loves Amitabh Bachchan. I know he is a hard working guy. I meet many people everyday who tell me inside stories of film industry, most repeated and asked being, how does actors behave on sets. One of my friends, Raashul Tandon, who worked in Pink with Amitabh Bachchan, he was one of the four boys who play culprit, told me that no one one set was as had working as Amitabh Bachchan. Even during lunch he would go back to his vanity rehearse lines. Piyush Mishra, another co-star of his in the film never worked hard because he had already decided for himself that he is a great actor and would fumble a lot during scenes, but Bachchan would always give one take OK shot. Amitabh Bachchan is very time punctual and I have witnessed that in my real life. He is hard working and you would be surprised to know that he has no PR team to look after his facebook , blog and Twitter accounts, he does that all to himself. He told that himself to My friend Raashul when he...

31. Delivering happiness - Zappos Story - A must read book.

Image
The best thing I liked about this biography which tells you about the birth of a Company i it's humorous writing. It is a very interesting read. It is more of a biography of Tony Hsieh and his life and unlike the last book that i read about Jia Jang, he doesn't mention his personal life too much. He only reveals as much personal life as is necessary, only those parts that are connected somewhere with the story and birth of Zappos.  Tony Hsieh started his humble journey, which is not so humble because he was a topper throughout and a Harvard graduate which means he already had his mind int he right place. The good thing about him was that he was ready to take risks, he would read a lot of books, he had a great set of people around and he was thoroughly a great optimistic person. He was charged for success. He writes this book like good things happen to hum and he wasn't expecting them. It was his positive nature.  Tony Hsieh didn't actually create Zappos, he was ...

30. The seminar in which i slept.

I won't name the person but i am just back from a seminar and the seminar was on power of thinking, subconscious mind but during the lectures both my conscious and subconscious mind slept heavy sleep because the man who was giving seminar was giving it like he was teaching kids at fourth class. As per his story, he was an IITan who left his lucrative job, to do these seminars because he wants to change people's life. He was telling the same things that i have been reading for last three years, so one of the reasons why i was sleeping was because I knew what he was telling. However, I have listened to the same things again and again and I never get bored. Like there is a speaker called Les Brown and he is so energetic and enthusiastic that you feel excited as he you listen to him. Same goes with Tony Robbins who puts all his energy into his seminars. This man in his seminars was actually making everyone sleep. I looked around once to find out and realized that everyone was int...
