84. Why Kejriwal lost .. and not just lost... lose it big time ?

I was a big supporter of Kejriwal once and I am not alone. There are many like me. They all supported him once and now they don't. What happened? Well, politics happened.

When a man for himself decides that he is great, his downfall begins. Kejriwal is new in politics and he is still trying to figure the thing out. His mistake was that he took politics as a mathematical game where if he played by the rules he will win. Play the victim card, show oneself as savior and the bigger organization as a villain. Unfortunately, politics is not a mathematical formula. The rules of the game in politics changes with the progression of the last step. You cannot play this game with the comfortable mind. You have to be awake all the time and you have to think in terms of what people really want instead of what you think they want.

You may think that a poor person would not desire for anything other than food and if you give him food he will vote for you. The truth is human mind does not behave in a certain manner. Food is just a short term problem for people. After a person eats food, he never remembers it for long. Suppose the same hungry poor person wants to take revenge to someone in his area, if you fulfill that wish of his, he will be your slave for life.

Politics cannot be done from the emotional point of view no matter what you think about it. This is one rule that you cannot ignore. This is the only rule of politics that matter. Unfortunately, it does not change. Kejriwal is emotional and emotions make him react too fast and impatiently. When I talk emotionally I don't mean that Kejriwal has sympathy for people, he does not anymore. He only cares about politics now and that is not wrong.

If Kejriwal thinks that making someone villain will make him a hero, then he is right but sadly for only once. The mob is looking for a hero but the hero has to be entertaining as well. Modi is entertaining. Modi engaged the whole country into doing one act together, demonetization. He gave them all an opportunity, a reason to do something for the country and they grabbed the opportunity by the neck.

Kejriwal always finds something wrong with Modi's intention, that would work for once or twice but not on daily basis. You can convert a lie into truth by repeating it again and again, but only a lie that cannot be verified could only be converted to the truth. The accusations on Modi made by him could have easily be proven wrong, which eventually they did.

Kejriwal comes from the education sector and for that reason, he might give education a preference, but not all Indians. In a country, where the majority of people are uneducated, who are proud of Modi's humble background, his chaiwallah profession, Kejriwal raised his concerns over Modi's Degree, the accusation which might work on Twitter or Facebook but nowhere else. Modi gave people hope that anyone can be anything but, Kejriwal tore down that dream saying if he does not have a degree or a fake degree, he cannot be our PM.

The Accusation might have been right, or wrong, in either case, it wouldn't matter. Because people love underdogs and Kejriwal, by accusing Modi, again and again, converted himself into a bully and Modi into an underdog. Kejriwal portrayed himself as underdog and Modi as a bully but the perception that was created by Kejriwal ranting every day and Modi completely ignoring the existence of Kejriwal gave an altogether different picture to the audience.

Kejriwal lost the elections this time because he became delusional. He refused the see the truth because the truth was not what the wanted. Truth unfortunately again does not give a choice. It is always right there on the front of you, to accept it or not depends on you. The case was really simple. Kejriwal depended on the opinions of people whose job is to create speculations and whose whole profession is based on hearsay. Another source of information for Kejriwal is social networking website where no source of information is valid and is purely based on one's opinion. It is not called Virtual World for no reason.

Kejriwal today is surrounded by people who tell him that he is the messiah, they are there to praise him and they know he likes it. He likes to see himself as a survivor, a hero who fought everyone and defied all odds. He wants tribes to write folklore for him and in between all this, he forgets that it is not truly him. He is nor fighting for anyone and he is not a hero. The hero is the one who has goals and when he achieves them, he becomes the Hero, that is the definition of Hero. Kejriwal never achieved any goal for people but he achieved one for himself, became the Chief Minster for Delhi but he did another mistake. He took Delhi for granted and now he will be out of it soon. Not because he is not doing good work, I don't know, maybe he is, but he is not doing intelligent work and that is the problem.
